original muscle bike

Rich metallic blue with lots of polished aluminum and some bullet hole decals covering blemishes.

Not typically considered a beginner’s bike.

When the bike had about 27,000 miles on it an engine from a different motorcycle was put into it that only had about 15,000 miles on it. Hence the engine has about 12,000 less miles on it than the motorcycle.
Carbs were rebuilt a little over a year ago (2nd rebuild) and then drained and stored dry until a few days ago.
V65 Magnas were ubiquitous (plentiful and everywhere). Prices start as low as $600 (or free). Bikes that actually run as low as $1000-1500. These bikes are normally project bikes with lots of mechanical issues.
V65 forums are filled with stories of buying cheaper bikes and then ending up paying more to fix them than they would have buying one in great condition to begin with. Or spending so much time they eventually give up.

Visit a motorcycle showroom at any dealership or motorcycle shop and you will see what a great deal this is. You would have to spend nearly 3 times as much to get this kind of performance and style. Hand polished aluminum carbs & other parts. This is a Classic Vintage motorcycle that runs like new!
V65 Magnas produced in 1983 were the fastest production bikes in the world - later models were actually slower due to legally required emission control changes.
Motorcycle has new front tire recently mounted and comes with ‘new’ rear tire not yet mounted. Rear tire currently on bike has plenty of miles left (depending on number of burnouts performed) and owner is type that spares no expense when it comes to putting the best tires available on a bike. Lots of research went into tire choice. Other V65 Magnas in this condition are often listed for $5,000 or more - or just not for sale.
This power cruiser has been stored indoors since full restoration (stripped down to frame, frame repainted and most rubber has been replaced).
Reason for selling? Owner is working on pilot’s license and would rather fly in the air than on the ground. Getting old also. No hurry to sell it though. If no buyer… it’s a keeper.
